Haiways Publishing Collective is a group of journals and presses who work cooperatively to help place and promote the work of writers, poets, and artists.
The editors, journals, and presses that comprise our collective:
Robin Anna Smith
Human/Kind Journal is a topical & contemporary journal of Japanese short-forms and art that examines and reflects on the human experience, social structures, injustices, culture, current events, and history. In a world fraught with division, it is a space to focus on our commonalities as humans and embrace our differences as individuals. Human/Kind Press is its imprint.
Lori A Minor
#FemkuMag is a monthly mini e-zine that publishes haiku written by womxn, including non-binary and transwomxn. In 2017 Lori coined the term "femku" in the subtitle of her first book Radical Women: A Book of Femku. Since then, the term has really stuck and she wanted to create a safe space for womxn to share their work. Title IX Press is its imprint.
Sonic Boom is a literary & arts journal that seeks both solicited and unsolicited experimental poetry, flash fiction, and visual art submissions tri-annually. They hope to integrate multifarious genres of literature and artwork including Japanese short-forms of poetry, avant-garde, conceptual, and postmodern works of culture and art. Yavanika Press is its imprint.
Christine L. Villa
Frameless Sky seeks quality haiku / senryu, tanka / kyoka, and cherita—either as stand-alone poems or poems that would be paired with artwork. In the "Take the Challenge Contest," artists may submit artwork to accompany a haiku or tanka provided by a poet for the current issue and earn the chance to post their haiku or tanka to be paired with someone else's art. Velvet Dusk Publishing is its imprint.
